To me, it comes down to their plan for Dunn.

The best thing to do would be to have Dunn+Jennings as LHP in the bullpen the next several years.

But Dunn is also going to make more than the minimum, and we all know how much this team hates paying players over the minimum.

And at which point, is there a better LHP option in the minors than Hand (I really don't know)? You want Heaney in the rotation, and that's all I can think of off the top of my head.

I actually decided to answer my own question and look it up. There's also Adam Conley, Brian Flynn, and Justin Nicolino. At least one of those will be moved to the BP, if not several. There's also Grant Dayton, who has a lot better #'s than Hand in the minors (though Dayton has always been old for his league and always out of the pen, whereas Hand has always been really young for his league and always starting).

So yeah, I think it's about time to cut out loss...

One of Edgar Olmos, Dayton and Conley will be the second lefty in the pen come next year.

I maybe in the minority, but I like Conley long term as a starter. I actually like him more at this point than Nicolino.

I actually agree. But with Jose/Eovaldi/Alvarez/Heaney more or less penciled in, you're only looking at one open rotation spot (barring injuries) and a lot of potential guys.

He's put up great peripherals throughout his career though.

Let him start until he proves he can't.

Zack Cox is on a tear lately. Wow.

@zephyrsbaseball: Z's strand a leadoff double by Zack Cox, who is now 13 for his last 25 with 8 extra-base hits during his 7-game hitting streak. 2-0 RR, T5th
                Twitter

And he had another double after that one.

Cox 3-3 tonight with 2 HR a single and 4 RBIs. If he somehow regained his potential, Ohhh boy. .529 over his last 10 games.

Btw, Dietrich is 2-3 with a HR. Hopefully he can make some adjustments on D because we can use him up here.

Dyson is back and probably coming soon #FUHatcher

Heaney 6 IP 1 ER 1 BB 9 K's.. I'm assuming he debuts next weekend vs Pirates at home. Lots of moves likely happening within the next week or so. I'm assuming Hatcher to AAA, Hand/Turner- one to BP one traded, Heaney up to MLB.

So apparently Zack Cox is on steroids.

It's the only explanation I can think of.
                            --------------------
Hoping Moran finally found his power stroke. Home run in back to back games.

We should start taking note of Austin Brice a little. He has an ERA of 1.27 over his last 35 1/3 IP with a 33 K's to 10 BB's. He's always been interesting but has never had the consistency to be a legitimate prospect just yet. He's not even 22 yet, so a good season in Jupiter this year and a good season in Jax next year and he could be consideration with all the other starting pitchers come 2016.

Avery Romero has hit in every game since he returned back from injury June 2nd. Wouldn't be surprised if bursts out and becomes our top hitting prospect by 2016.

Should also acknowledge the good inning by Gregg. Yay >_>
