Looks like we broke Andrew Heaney. 9.00 ERA in 19 innings

Boston is going with Mujica at closer and Toronto who knows-imagine if we had signed KRod. The Cishek bidding might have gotten crazy between those 2,I know that both teams keep calling on him but we aren't looking to move him anymore

Also another story is a guy we drafted but never signed-Andrew Toles(was Rays Minor POY) got released. He would be a great pickup for us but much like TB we are not known for being patient with talent.

I know Heaney is still very young, but I think most of us can agree that when a guy first comes up we all have this "when you see it, you know" feeling about whether he will reach his projections. I was extremely underwhelmed with Heaney, in the same vein as Andrew Miller (damn Andrews). But Miller has turned into a productive back-end bullpen guy, so who knows. Maybe Miller can return to a starting role in his career. But I just didn't see "it" with Heaney. Whatever that is worth. We moved him at the right time.

I do not agree with that at all, and I'm still pretty high on Heaney.

Same here. Looks like he's going to start the season in the minors though.

                  Aaron Crows elbow is broken.

From a Marlins fan perspective, I'd rather see Heaney starting the season in the minors.

Look for Aaron Crow to open season on DL and Sam Dyson to make #Marlins

                    • ### A veteran scout who has watched the Marlins this spring says first baseman Michael Morse looks poised for a very big year; said “I was disappointed watching Jarrod Saltalamacchia this month; he wasn’t moving well laterally behind the plate”; said the Nationals, Marlins and Mets will benefit from playing diminished Atlanta and Philadelphia 18 times each; and loves how second baseman Dee Gordon has looked: “Hit the ball hard in games I saw and he takes these long, graceful strides running the bases, which reminds me of [retired ex-Met] Mookie Wilson. It’s one of the most fun things to watch them run first to third.”http://miamiherald.typepad.com/sport...-chatter-.html

                        • So what are we down to 1 spot left? Don Kelly vs Valdespin

By way looks like Mark Canha is gonna make the A's. Has 5 HR's in ST

As for Salty, even tho he is getting paid if Realmuto has a strong 1st Half don't be surprised if he gets called up and they try to move Salty(more likely tho he becomes a left handed bat who helps at 1B)

                          • Think I read Redmond told Kelly that he would make the team.

He will get 1 AB a month.

Ya I have heard he will make the team just saying those are the last 2 guys left now that Crow is out and the Rule 5 guy is gone
