Justin Twine seems to picking things up in the Gulf Coast League. 2-2 yesterday and 3-4 today. Nice to see. Kolek bleh, but two innings and he's just getting his feet wet so who cares.

It's also fun to note just polar opposite our Greensboro and Jupiter teams are. Greensboro is having a great year, Jupiter is just awful. Lots of interesting guys to keep an eye out for down in A ball.

I wish we could see advanced minor league fielding stats. Because Moran has a .973 fielding % at 3B and has only made 4 errors all year.

It's hard to get excited about GBO hitters considering that ballpark. Romero and Dean are probably the only 'real' hitting prospects there. Moran goes without saying in Jupiter, but everything else hitting wise is "meh" at best. There could be some bullpen arms in there with Brice, Suggs, and they say Williams has some potential, not sure what else is that exciting at the A level at all at a quick glance.

Not trying to be a dick and I'm not super following them, but I don't see any prospect hype on this group. They have the two potential difference makers with Kolek and Moran, and then highly volatile bats (Realmuto, Marisnick, Romero, Barnes, Jensen, Canha), back end starters (Nicolino, Williams, Flynn), and likely relievers (Conley, DeScalfani, Urena, Suggs). I don't think any of us will be surprised if after those first 2, there are only 3-5 nominal players coming out of the group. Got to be a bottom 5 farm. Of course it helps that Fernandez, Heaney, Eovaldi, Alvarez, Stanton, Yelich, and Ozuna are all under 25, but just saying. Hopefully Kolek and Moran are just awesome and when they eventually trade Cishek/others they can add some good pieces because that will mask a lot of the depth problems.

For Greensboro I'm excited by Wallach/Romero mostly and Dean/Munoz right after that. All four guys are playing incredibly well, and yes I've even mentioned before that the park at Greensboro and the low A level means expectations should be tempered. I generally play up the excitement on these younger guys so that others on the board maybe take notice of these players nobody is really paying attention to and will maybe keep at least partial track of them from now on.

I'm disappointed that Jupiter has like no hitting prospects outside of Moran. Basically nobody important to follow, and outside of Brice/Williams everybody else in Jupiter is pitching god awful. I'm not even sure Suggs should be mentioned given how horrid he's been this year.

I'm not sure we're exactly a bottom five farm. We lack in top quality really outside of Heaney but there's a lot of starting pitchers who have a chance. While most of them are projected to have low floors many of them at least project to be capable of making a major league roster at some point. That's a lot better than what many teams have in their own systems.

Love how Marisnick and Desco all play well in AAA.

Didn't see Silverio was called up to AAA. He's not a good prospect anymore and was awful at AA but still have to root for the guy given all he went through and how it's amazing he's even able to play baseball.

Love the note on Nicolino. I'd be interested to see the video of him getting that steal.

Nick Wittgren hasn't allowed an ER in his last 10 IP. Maybe he's starting to figure out Jacksonville finally.

Avery Romero is absolutely on flipping fire right now. 8 for his last 14, and batting .500 for the month of July. Hell since a so so April, he's been really good. I predicted he would become a top 100 MLB prospect after this season and while that may not end up happening, he'll likely leap into the top 4 or 5 overall Marlins prospects after this year. Chad Wallach continues to be awesome as well.

I really hate we drafted two B.Anderson's early in this past draft because I don't know who to praise for hitting a home run.

Well since Blake Anderson can't get even a hit ill say just keep praising Brian. On the brightside Blake Anderson has been getting good reviews on his defense
