So psyched for opening day. I'll probably still be excited even after our depressing lineup is revealed.

So I was wondering why Jones was in against a lefty, so I checked the roster and came to the crippling realization that Dobbs is our back up 1st baseman. Why?

This is absolutely incredible. I didn't realize things were this bad. I haven't even heard of some of these.

In his 1598 career professional games, he's logged 0 innings at first base.

Baker will likely get some time there when Furcal gets back, assuming they decide to stop hitting Jones vs. lefties.

Salty isn't much better against them (.599ops career).

Our clean-up hitter played in Japan last year after he was option to class A two seasons ago.

Yeah, but he had heard of Placido Polanco and Juan Pierre, so their terribleness was better.

Our opening day lineup last year was pretty incredible. We had a washed out utility infielder clean-up.
