Don’t really care who the outfielder is right now. Would like to know who the other pitcher is.

he's also 29. i wouldnt touch him. Cardinals seem to have a lot of those guys who thrive at the major league level after being mediocre in the minors.

Id assume that means Hudson is also part of the trade rather than flaherty.

Alcantara's stock was really high coming off the AFL so they better be damn sure they know what they're getting then.

sherman i guess also confirmed we are getting 4 prospects in that deal. Given tjfla's statements, ill guess Hudson, Gomber, and that catcher are the last 3.

Sounds more like we're getting neither. Hudson/Flaherty are higher 'ilk' than Alcantara. They're also clearly more polished prospects.

                This.

It looks like once again the Marlins get a shitty return. This is fucking depressing.

Still no names but pitchers could be Hudson,Gomber,Junior Fernandez,Gallen. OF they have Sierra,Bader,Aronzena,Jose Garcia

Prospects from St Louis arent a bad thing

Hudson isnt. He's at the same prospect level but id consider him lower because his ceiling is lower.

Hudson is lower “Ilk” than Alcantara. Many are down on him. Just over 4 ks per 9 in AAA.

FWIW, BA has Flaherty 2, Alcantara 4, and Hudson 9 in their system

Alcantara had a 4.41 xFIP in 125 innings in AA last year

Exactly- every place has him ranked different. So ilk could mean #5 and lower.

Sandy Alcantara as the centerpiece is pretty perplexing. I can't really get my head around this move at all. It's a mess, it's embarrassing.
