weird to hear coming from you. youre usually just soooo optimistic and open minded regarding this new front office.

    • From today’s Miami Herald:

“• The Marlins will give Magneuris Sierra every chance to win the center field job and team executive Mike Hill said Sierra, acquired in the Marcell Ozuna trade with St. Louis, “may be as fast as Dee Gordon if not faster. Top of the order [talent].”

      This fucking team

Might not be a lot to be optimistic about, but theres not nearly as much to be pessimistic about as you continually show.

And you guys act as if every public comment is the team being totally transparent. If they say Sierra isnt near MLB ready and needs to spend significantly more time in the minors, youd crush Sierra and the Ozuna trade. If the team makes the flippant and totally meaningless statement that they'll give Sierra an opportunity to make the team rather than coming out and saying that they are going to leave him in the minors until he accrues another years of team control, youll say "this fucking team." If the team comes out and admits that they will not promote Sierra until he accrues another year of team control, you'll complain that they treat their own players terribly. If the team says they are ok keeping Castro so as not to make it seem like they are 100% going to deal him and lower his trade value, you crush the team. IF the team is making it fairly clear a Stanton trade is coming, youre going to complain about how theyre ruining their value by not being more discreet. If they ask for Acuna, you'll complain about how unrealistic the team is being in trade talks. When the team gets another group of top prospects, albeit not the "top" prospect in all of baseball in Acuna, you'll complain that they didnt get back the team's top prospect. Just give the fucking front office at least 1 spring training game before you constantly look for the negative in every move of a much needed rebuild.

        • No way I’m reading 27 sentences of fish16 propaganda.

Anyway, a great Fangraphs article on Acuna for Yelich:

He doesnt actually have that much power any more. And im not going to, he's been bad. But we also dont know how much Loria interfered. Also, wouldnt me not defending Hill kind of go against your opinion that im a blind supporter of the new ownership group despite the fact that i've said probably 100 times now that im not a blind defender, im just not going to immediately react to trades in a long overdo rebuild that will take 2-3 years to truly evaluate?

                • Looks like Toronto is out on Yelich

Grichuk to Toronto for Connor Greene and Dominic Leone

I wish we would have done this. Got him in Ozuna deal and deal him for more arms

                  • Jays grab Grichuk from the Cardinals. Maybe out on Yelich now.

Yep I say it takes them out of it. Toronto didn't pay much either-crap RP and like 4th Best SP they had

                      • If they let Sierra start the season in the majors that's insane. If they keep him down until mid-May they get an additional year of club control.

This isn't rocket science. They need to maximize their assets and 6 extra weeks of Sierra on a best case otherworldly scenario 70 win team is egregious.

Ya Greene is trash and cant throw strikes. Leone is a really good reliever though going off of last years stats, and Cardinals bullpen was horrible last year. Seems like a good deal for both sides given the fact that the cards had a bullpen need and a surplus of OF's and Blue jays needed an OF.

Exactly why everyone got a laugh out of them saying he will get every chance. No point in it

They will. What is mike hill supposed to say if asked that question? The guy is invited to spring training, they cant just say no he wont be on the team and especially cant admit given the already terrible optics of the offseason that they want to keep him in the minors for a few months to get another year of team control.

You could break up your paragraphs a bit to make them easier to read.
