Brian Miller now at .337/.385/.449/.834 with a 25/15 K/BB ratio in 47 games. I maintain he should have been promoted to Jupiter at the end of July. His numbers this month are identical to what he did in July. Overall it isnt the biggest deal in the world, but just promote guys when they master a level. The concept isnt difficult. He has had nothing more to prove in Greensboro for over a month now.

Joe Dunand is actually real and in the GCL so we might be seeing him in Gboro before end of the month. Why? Same reason Brian Miller is in GBoro-they wanna win the SAL. Before we get 20 messages I AGREE Brian Miller is too good for GBoro and wouldn't be surprised if he started in Jax next year but no reason to push right now and GBoro is playing for something while Jupiter isn't

At this point, yes, let him stay in Greensboro and treat an affiliate to a playoff opportunity, but he should have been promoted a month ago. Not trying to get into this again because realistically it is splitting hairs, was just saying.

Overall, coming into today, with AA since he came back he has pitched 27 IP, 20 k's, 8 BB's, 2.33 ERA, 1.04 WHIP. Those numbers all improved today.

And its not like he came out of nowhere. According to MLB.com's prospect list he was considered a possible first day pick before he needed TJ surgery in college and he fell to the 10th round because of it.

You call up him and Anderson and then add another SP like Dickey and that's 3 huge additions to the club for september, plus Bour coming back, and maybe even Chen. could be huge. we'll see.
