Poteet has been a bit less consistent since returning from injury. Not bad, but not as good as before. Still hope the team lets him open next season in Jax but wouldn't be surprised to see him repeat Jupiter.

One day after Michael King has his worst minor league start, Beggs does the same thing.

As others have mentioned recently, Brian Miller seems to be hitting his stride in GBoro. Multiple hits in 5 of his last 6 games. He's consistent when it comes to multiple hit games since he debuted in June. If he had even a bit more power he'd be far more interesting but for now he's an interesting addition to the prospect watch list.

Ya, Miller looks like a really nice potential leadoff guy corner OF type. only 19 K's in 35 games so far. not many walks either, unfortunately, but still nice to see from an early round pick.

Say hi to our new pitcher Carlos Diaz

He is 25 LHP in High A Ball. They signed him out of Indy Ball and his coach says "The 6-foot-4, 230-pound Diaz had been clocked at 94 mph recently and his age (25) drew interest from the Red Sox and Yankees as well" According to another article he missed 2014 and 2015 to deal with family issues but was in the Indians system

Anderson needs to be up here already. Also i like braxton lee but he is pretty terrible at stealing bases.

Richards with another good start. Seems Jax has been just as easy for him as Jupiter was. I expect he'll start next year in NOLA and with a good first half he'll be major league bound by June 2018.

Speaking of future call ups, Brian Anderson has a 1.000+ OPS in New Orleans. I mentioned it before but bears repeating that Anderson is the exact kind of hitter who would benefit from coming up to AAA. He's been having the best games of his career the past month plus.

That Pablo Lopez you see in Jupiter is one of the 4 guys acquired in the David Phelps trade. 4 games in with the Marlins so far, 2.39 ERA. Definitely looks like the makings of a future MLB pitcher.

Anderson with ANOTHER HR tonight for NOLA. Man, if his power is for real like he's shown this year and he can be a really nice solid 3b for us that would be enormous. I wonder what the chances are of the Marlins next year going with him at 3b, Prado over to his old position at 2b, and Dee at SS. That is if they are unable to trade Prado or Dee this offseason. Defense might not be great there but if healthy we do not have 1 hole in the lineup if we maneuver the offense like that.

                    dee
                    Stanton
                    Yelich
                    Ozuna
                    Realmuto
                    Bour
                    Anderson
                    Prado

Hell of a lineup if healthy.

Zero percent chance. It really sucks that we weren't able to deal Prado. I think Anderson wins the job and Prado gets dealt maybe like an end of Spring Training deal if he can prove that he's healthy.

Brian Anderson has always had a world of talent but never had everything click together. It's so good to see him thriving like this. It really isn't a stretch to imagine him as a long term major league starter.

Interesting to see John Silviano having his best season in Jupiter. Not sure what happened with him never having left rookie ball after getting drafted in 2012 but he's still just 23 years old hitting well at catcher in a place you don't generally see guys thrive. Long term name to keep an eye on but he's a potential backup option to Realmuto down the line.

Silviano went to college(NAIA-went to Lynn and hit .405 31HR) then went undrafted and we signed him as a UDFA. He doesn't catch anymore even tho he is listed as one-Corner OF/1B type now

They will likely try to trade him however it depends on what Jeter's vision is. Prado could play 1B/LF/3B still so if u can't trade him(yet) he can still play on the team at one of those spots like what Philly/Atlanta have done with vets. However wouldnt be a surprise for them to try to salary dump Prado and/or Dee Gordon as Jeter has been said to wanna go younger

I wish they would at least try the Dee at SS Prado at 2b if they arent able to trade either of them. The defense at SS will obviously not be great but i think from a net gain standpoint, the offense not having one sub par bat or hole in the lineup is more important than the occasional play that Dee fucks up that an average SS would make. To me, team defense is important, but having a hole in the lineup at one or multiple spots is much more negatively impactful than having one guy fielding his position poorly and there is nothing at SS available for us next year. Rojas is nice but he should be a utility bench guy.
