Wow Avila got a great haul for Verlander. They had to pay a lot of his salary but they also got out of Upton's deal earlier in the deal so they had a really solid day for their rebuild yesterday.

Yeah I have no problem with Stanton's approach there. Especially with the way he's been swinging it. He just barely missed a walk-off, and any other baserunner moves up to 3rd. Past few games have been like that. Nats left the whole rightside open and Philly always does it. He could bunt and get on base. But ya the Aviles thing was terrible-just saying they had tons of chances before that tho. How about Telis running in the infield grass instead of the dirt? Its not that hard

I wish Colorado and Arizona played like 7 times and Arizona went like 5-2 then we played the 3 teams in front of us. That would be cool since u could make up 3 games fast in a sweep
O wait we do!!! Season far from over especially with the types of games left for us. Colorado and Arizona playing this weekend in fact. Just can't lose to crap teams like Philly and the Mets.

Ya, if only we sweep the team that is ahead of us and play 6 games better than the 3 teams that are better than us!!!! We are the worst team out of the Brewers, Marlins, and Rockies. This front office failed this team plain and simple. Our playoff chances according to 538 were 24% at the start of this week. And also, you can continue to cite the schedule all you want, but unlike us, the teams in front of us dont need a shit schedule to win games down the stretch. Other teams who are actually playoff caliber dont rely on playing bad teams to sneak into a 2nd wild card birth. We essentially need a miracle. But ya, lets continue to rely on havign 3 games with the rockies towards the end of the year.
