  • Marlins @ Pirates 6/8 - 6/11

Volquez wasn't as sharp as his no-hitter (few are), but still pitched seven shutout innings. Offense struck early and continued to add on, which was nice to see. Dietrich hopefully breaking out a bit after a slow start.

    I'm liking Riddle a lot.

Especially when you compare him to Hech.

This Stanton guy might pan out.

Probably time to get Conley back up here to replace Worley, no?

          Definitely.

I'm going to Friday nights game in Atlanta and Worley is the scheduled starter. I'm not happy about that.

Steckenrider up, Ellington down. Probably necessary after the last few outings for Ellie.

Why not? The bats know they gotta be on when Worley goes. U will probably get a nice high scoring game.

Of course Stanton hit on hand/wrist and comes out of game. His injuries are so unlucky at this point its ridiculous.

I feel like this is just like last yr. Bour went down and then Stanton.

Per Marlins: Giancarlo Stanton left today's game with a right wrist contusion. X-Rays were negative and he is day to day.
Thats great news. But knowing the marlins it could also mean he's out for the year.

It's the same story every year, yet they do nothing to sign quality backups/replacements.

When 4 of 9 of your opening day line up is out. No amount of backups would of saved us. Gutting the system has been the problem.

Let's be honest though, Hech being out is an upgrade...
