Mike Kickham has allowed 2 ER or less in all but one start (7 ER allowed which inflates his ERA). 28 years old so not really a prospect but if he can pitch well in NOLA next year he becomes a spot starter option down the line.

Trevor Richards ERA down to 2.68 in Jupiter, and he turned 24 two weeks ago so happy late birthday!

Boo Vazquez with a .911 OPS in GBoro (insert distasteful 9/11 joke). Another 24 year old in GBoro so like all the others a wait and see approach with him.

James Nelson finally got a picture added to his milb page. Congratulations!

Much like most of our guys-Kickham is someone we tried to get multiple times from SF however only got the chance when he got hurt and SF gave up on him. He likely will be up in NOLA. They had him in Jax to recover from injuries.

Vazquez can't get a promotion-we got Sullivan,Silvano and Garrett hitting under .190 in Jupiter. Honestly tho rather have Sullivan and Garrett get AB's than move 24 yr old non prospect up taking AB's away. Brian Schales(non prospect) is in his 2nd year in Jupiter and while isn't great has improved some. 21/22 in Jupiter I can deal with

I would like to see Richards get moved up to AA soon. Perhaps after the all star game if he has a few more good starts.

Issue is they have too many guys already in the upper levels. That is the problem in our system-they draft guys who are 22/23 then sign 26-29 yr old FA and put them in AA which blocks the younger guys from moving up. So u get 24 yr olds in Lo A Ball and guys who are 21 and younger stuck in Extended ST when they really should be in Greensboro

Past week or 2 they have started releasing and promoting guys-Beltre/De La Rosa to AA,Meyer to HiA and Parker Bugg(who did great as the closer in Gboro LY) finally to Gboro this year. They actually have so many SP(in the FO eyes) at Gboro after every start they have to send a guy down off the roster till his next start.

4 pitchers in Gboro look great however they are all way to old for the level and should be promoted BUT Jupiter has 4 25 yr+ who were signed as FA and 3 others who were sent down from Jax because they had to many guys.

Brightside is Batavia should have a solid pitching staff even before the draft. Guys there are Javier Garcia,Mejia,Neubeck,Sawczak,Cabrera,Guerrero,Peac e,Ryan McKay,Mojica,Ovalle

Plus we still have guys like Kolek,Lilek,Remey Reed,Brigham in Extended ST

Plus we also have this guy who is 6'6 180lbs and 25 who spend the last 3 years in Japan(MAYBE?)

                http://www.milb.com/player/index.jsp...ching/2016/ALL

Issue is he didn't have a work visa so no one knows where the hell he is

                NEVRMIND-RELEASED!!!!

                - - - - - - - - - -

                By way Start Dates are

                DSL-June 5
                NYPL-June 19
                GCL-June 26

DSL Marlins should have a great shot at the worst record ever by a minor league team this year. Record is 9-54 (.143) LY they were 10-56 (.154) and they added NOTHING worth talking about while likely losing 3-5 players to the GCL(Guaimaro and who knows?)

James Nelson's OPS officially at .900 after that game. He has hit in 15 straight games and 25 of his last 26 games (29 of 34 games with a hit on the season).

Needless to say the guy can hit. Say hello to the team's first top 100 prospect not selected in the first round in quite some time (Yelich might honestly be the last one).

                          More good news from Frisaro

Braxton Garrett, the seventh overall pick in the 2016 Draft and Miami's No. 1 prospect according to MLBPipeline.com, has been shut down temporarily due to left elbow soreness. Garrett exited a May 25 start for Class A Greensboro after 1 2/3 innings, allowing four runs (two homers) on six hits in his fourth start for the club. The Marlins are confident the 19-year-old will be fine with some rest. Garrett is no longer on Greensboro's roster, he is now on short-season Class A Batavia, which opens on June 19. The Marlins are limiting Garrett's total innings this season to about 100.

So 4 of our Top 5 Pitchers are Hurt- Garrett(Elbow),Kolek(TJ),Peters(Thumb),Poteet(?),K ing and our Bats aren't much better-Nelson,Brian Anderson,Soto(Foot),Jones(Ex ST),Dean(Concussion),Stone Garrett(Sucking in Jupiter)

Then Stanton or Morrison would be the correct answer.

Amazing what u can find when u actually do some scouting and sign guys with talent not just take seniors who are 24 already or don't wanna play baseball. Best part is only cost $75,000-in years past we have paid guys Britt $100K,Dunbar $100K,Hillyer $100K,Nick White $350K all drafted near 15th Rd and they all have retired within 2 years

Not sure he is Top 100 yet but very likely in our Top 3 Prospects. The knock on him is going to be his power numbers but should get better once gets stronger-will be 19 whole year. His test will be next year in Jupiter,20 yr old in FSL-he hits over .300 and people will be drooling
