Pitchers can be on a rehab assignment for 30 days (I think). So if he starts it Saturday, the latest he could return is July 7th which would guarantee a start before the all-star break. He would have the normal rehab time for TJ surgery before returning. We'll probably see at least 2 starts before the break without any setbacks.

seems like the majority of TJ returnees make 6-8 starts in the minors before coming back to the majors

but they also almost all started their rehab starts about 10 and a half months after surgery, we're at 12 and a half months on Jose right now

I'm going to be at Wrigley Field on July 5th for the finale of the Marlins-Cubs series. Hopefully the team decides to let him make his first start there. (Doubt it, but I'll be hoping)

He was hitting 97 again. That he had his velocity again on normal rest is probably the only thing that matters.

I do hope that stops the silliness of him possibly starting for us on June 16, that I admittedly got caught up in briefly after his extended spring outing

Jose jumping to New Orleans for his next start.

Expected to make at least 2 starts in NO.

Returning July 2 vs. the Giants at Marlins Park.

Seems really dumb to announce his return in advance like this, but whatever.
