    Brett Butler resigned.

    What a fun season.

I'd give anything for Samson coaching 3rd. It'd look like a kindergartner dressed up as a baseball player for Halloween.

The only thing I've heard about Butler is his work with Dee in the offseason. Is it a big loss?

I'm surprised Perry Hill is still here.

Supposedly Lenny Harris is taking over

I assume in addition to continuing the assistant hitting coach role.

Well, it appears that Butler was "reassigned" to OF and base running coach...he has not "resigned". So not really much of a story other than some inaccurate reporting by Rosenthal.

Ya he is still in the org(for now) Loria was said to be pissed after talking with Butler about the manager spot.

Talk bad about Tino Martinez and never make the major league team again
Don't see eye to eye with the owner and get demoted

                Gotta love this Org

I'm pretty sure the Tino Martinez thing is irrelevant. He was fired too so I don't see your point.

Yeah, Loria tried to talk him out of it if I remember right.

Either way, I'm pretty sure the rule isn't "talk bad about Tino Martinez and never make the major league team again." I'm guessing the organization doesn't care.

Doesn't say if it was hitters or coaches fault.
