I think the odds tilt back in Haren's favor today and he doesn't give up a homer.

        Couple of thoughts:

        1. Pre-game is showing Brett Butler mic'ed up. Just became a huge fan of his. What a voice he has.

        2. Don't know if anyone here is a soccer fan, but I was watching the Arsenal-Chelsea game this morning and one of Chelsea's players (Oscar) got absolutely destroyed mid-air by Arsenal's goalie. Took a head butt right to the face and suffered a clear concussion. Brutal. I wondered which injury I would rather not suffer, his or Giancarlo's fastball to the face. Clearly Giancarlo. Looking back, it's an absolute miracle he's playing already this season and playing well. I will refrain from any early season criticism of him because it must be mentally tough to get back in the box after that.

        3. I ask this question sincerely, is it likely that Bour could have a better season than Morse if both had an equal season of ABs? I don't really follow minor leaguers much, so I don't know his strengths and weaknesses.

        4. Marlins have #1 defense in MLB.

Bour can't hit lefties. Morse is a career .800 OPS bat. If Bour never faced a lefty he might be able to edge out a better line but I'd guess it would be pretty close. I'd expect Garret Jones production with more walks out of Bour.

Think we can find a sucker to take Haren and his .105 babip?
