The Astros have a guy in their bullpen named Justin Miller. Waltz and Hutton were talking about the out-of-town scoreboard and Rich Waltz mentioned that ex-Marlin Justin Miller had pitched for the Astros today. And then he and Tommy started talking about his tattoos and even cracked a couple of jokes.

          --------------------
a few people tweeted them about it and all Waltz responded with was "thanks for the catch"

did they acknowledge it on air at any point?

I went to sleep with the feeling of loss for this game in the 7th inning.

I woke up and had my day made.

Thanks for posting that division lead graphic. Two things I found interesting:

              1. It took our franchise 4 years to see first place for the first time
              2. Surprised our biggest lead ever was only 3.5 games. Such a great division over the years.

              LET'S GO FISH!

Stanton cranked that 0-2 pitch ALL OVER BEEFS FACE
                --------------------
Turner on the Ian Kennedy HR: "Anybody that swings a bat can hit the ball. Just because he's a pitcher doesn't mean he can't hit."

                Uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

I wonder how many teams have struck out 17 times and won all time. Hugg, can you get to work on that for me? Thanks.

Quote from Giancarlo after the game:

“I was a little upset with the way the team came out,” Stanton said. “It was very lackadaisical. I didn’t want us to cruise through this road trip and save us at home again. That’s not going to work all year. That’s why I was a little uneasy.”

This the probably the first time I have ever read a quote from him in which he says "i want us" or "I didn't want us" or something relating to the season as a whole. Great sign! I'm glad he's invested into this team now. Everything I've heard (and seen) from these guys lately is great. Great players can win championships, but typically (and especially in baseball) the team that is the most "together" is the one which holds the trophy (unless its the Yankees).

I think that's wrong - the together thing (especially in baseball).

The total in tonight's game is 5.5
You don't see too many of those.

20 teams have struck out 17+ times and won.

                        We're number 18.

Granted, that info may have changed since 2009.

I missed Stanton's bomb (my MLB.TV kept messing up.) Anyway, I watched his hit this morning and it did not look like a homerun off the bat. He has massive power. Great win. I like Stanton's post-game comments.

Yeah I don't think we've been given any indication that Stanton's the type of guy to make a statement like that. You want your best player to be a leader, so it's good to hear.
