Mark Canha is an interesting player. He's hit since joining the minors, although likely doesn't have the power to be an everyday starting 1B candidate at the major league level. He's a candidate to be a good bench bat next year though. Since he went to college he's already 25 in his fourth season in the minors. This is the season he has to break out and force the front office to take a look at him, or he falters and becomes a career AAAA guy. Good to see he's thriving.

Not a lot of strikeouts for Heaney, but really good start. Seems likely he's with the Marlins after the Super 2 deadline passes.

After starting the season rocky, Suggs has gone 9.1 innings without allowing an ER. Still needs to cut down the walks.

Canha is more interesting now that he's playing 3rd. Best case is that he develops into a McGehee-type player. Casey didn't reach the Majors until 25 and didn't play a full season until he was 26. Canha seems to be following a similar path. If he can play 3rd and keep hitting he'll have a future. Maybe he'll get a shot to at least platoon with Jones at some point.

Avery Romero is finally getting his sh*t together. He's actually on a tear right now. 12 hits his last 23 at bats.

I projected he'd become an MLB top 100 prospect at the end of the season, so I'm hoping he continues to produce.

And that kind of stat line is why I love Barnes as a future major league guy. Can't get a hit but finds a way to get on base twice anyway. Him and Realmuto give us real options at catcher long term.

Felix Munoz also finally got a picture to go along with his minor league page.

I look forward to Gee's daily updates, but I almost look forward to Dim's nightly commentary just as much.

According to MLB.com, DeSclafini hit 97 the other day. Is that news?
