So what's tomorrow's lineup vs. Chacin?

Dietrich has an OPS around .680 this month, not counting tonight. Really don't think we're gonna get much more from anyone else. I probably would have kept him, but I understand letting him go back to AA and have a bunch of success (hopefully).

He'll still be our starting 2B next season.

Ozuna had an awesome BABIP-fueled run early, but he has no secondary skills to speak of right now. Let him develop those.
Marisnick pretty much has the same issues.
I don't think this front office cares about secondary skills. They care about batting average.

          Maybe.

But Ozuna's actually been bad for a while. Not really any reason to keep him up.

Yelich and Marisnick have been 1-2 in Jacksonville. Why change now? Not like we're trying to win.

I don't understand sending Dietrich down. Even with an OPS under .700 he's still is one of the best hitters on the team. I feel like he could learn more finishing the season at the major league level than at AA at this rate.

Ozuna makes sense. What he did for us was awesome at the beginning, but he needs to see AA.

Hechavarria will probably hit 1st again tomorrow. And Lucas will definitely hit 2nd because he hit the ball tonight and Redmond loves him there.

                    Because Lucas.

                    But I don't know. It's a lineup, who cares?

                      Yes yes and yes.

You only needed to see a few episodes of The Franchise to know that Beinfest and Co are all about batting average.

To be fair though they seem to rely heavily on traditional stats when making decisions.

Dietrich was May promotion - service time - keep him down a month and a half and bring him back up when rosters expand he would otherwise end up as super 2

Ok. Batting average, RBI's and errors.

Did you watch The Franchise, Ramp?

It doesn't seem like they value walk rates. It's pretty well-known that this front office values tools much more than advanced statistics.

If they value a patient approach to hitting, they have a weird way of showing it.
