The Brewers acquired Juan Francisco in exchange for a minor league pitcher.. In turn they placed Alex Gonzalez on waivers. Maybe we can bring him back too and continue the pain train of recycled old fucks?

We already have Alex Gonzalez. His name is Adeiny Hechavarria.

At a glance this looks like a great comparison. Here is Hech this year and Gonzalez's first three years.
            Code:
OBP SLG BB% K% ISO BABIP
            H 2013 .236 .309 6.8% 14.9% .128 .202
            G 1999 .308 .430 2.5% 19.1% .154 .323
            G 2000 .229 .319 3.2% 18.9% .119 .231
            G 2001 .303 .377 5.3% 19.1% .126 .299
Hech probably won't have that high of a BB% and that low of a K% as sample size increases but they will probably look a lot like Gonzalez career marks of 4.8% and 18.7%.

When you look at Gonzalez 2000 which is has the closest BABIP to Hech, there are very similar results. But this doesn't tell everything.

Looking at batted ball data will tell more. There is a problem here because fangraphs doesn't have batted ball data before 2002 for Gonzalez at least. Because of this inconvenience, I'm going to look at BABIP and ISO to grab 3 seasons to sample for Gonzalez.

            Code:
                          ISO BABIP LD% GB% FB% IFFB% GB/FB
            H 2012 .111 .323 21.3% 47.9% 30.9% 3.4% 1.55
            H 2013 .128 .202 15.2% 58.4% 26.4% 9.1% 2.21
            G 2004 .187 .257 16.4% 32.9% 50.7% 15.2% 0.65
            G 2005 .103 .313 17.7% 36.9% 45.4% 22.6% 0.81
            G 2009 .118 .264 16.3% 36.5% 47.2% 14.3% 0.77
Now Hech has a small sample size in the majors which is why I threw in 2012. Minor league data isn't available for batted ball stats either. So it isn't guaranteed the Hech has always been a GB hitter. It is probably safe to say he is.

Gonzalez has a career ISO of .150 and a SLG of .396. Hech will probably never approach these marks. I'd estimate with a large sample size Hech probably has an ISO of .115 and a SLG of .365. These differences are most likely entirely a result of the GB/FB ratio differences.

Now when you look at WAR for Gonzalez his best years are a result of his power and his other years he is a role player at best. So in reality Hech projects to be a role player at best.

The fight between MLB and the player's union will be fun to watch.

I don't think any of those names is shocking (well, since the Biogenesis report is old).

Must've found some incriminating stuff to pursue suspensions.
