It's insane that Jamie Moyer is still going to be in majors and is 49.

I apologize to Miami Homer in advance for not hearing about it earlier.

if Jamie Moyer was a Rockies player in 1993, he would have been the oldest SP on the staff

Red Sox manager Bobby Valentine said Tuesday that Andrew Bailey will not be back before the All-Star break.
Not entirely different from the 3-4 month timetable that had been rumored, but still bad news for the Red Sox. Mark Melancon and Alfredo Aceves remain the top two candidates to fill the ninth-inning role, but Daniel Bard could also be a possibility considering how long Bailey will be out. The former A's closer was acquired this winter as part of a five-player swap.

And here I thought dropping $2 on him in an auction draft was smart

The O's lost to a community college.

                  Yup.

I talked to Edwin Rodriguez for a little bit yesterday. He's the Mudcats manager this year. I'm looking forward to it.

Either the offenses forgot it was opening day or the pitching has been fantastic today.

Aren't pitchers usually ahead of hitters the first month?
God would be expecting a first pitch breaking ball in the dirt because humans love to disappoint him.
