                  • He's probably already in his physical prime. It might not be a bad idea to trade him in 6-7 years from now.

                    You just don't know with pitchers.

                    • Doesn't the most recent body of advanced statistical research suggest that a pitchers prime is a lot earlier than we've previously believed (I.e. it's probably closer to early to mid twenties than late twenties)?

                        • Velocity peaks really early on, but I think I've seen studies suggesting that a loss of effectiveness lags behind by a few years.

                                Maybe. He wouldn't be the first or last pitcher to peak before 26, but yes, it's more likely than not that he has not peaked.
