The Marlins return to South Florida to face off against the Chicago Cubs and their arch nemesis, the rain. Scattered thunderstorms are scheduled to hit south Florida around 6PM.

Miami Gardens- Miami-Dade CSI detectives are in the midst of a massive search that they hope will lead them to the apprehension of the murderer of Hanley Ramirez's bat.
"As of right now we have no leads,” MDPD homicide Sergeant Frank Tripp said. “Our CSIs are currently canvassing the area of Sun Life Stadium for clues.
“We are interviewing personnel with the Florida Marlins to see if anyone has seen anything suspicious.” Tripp continued.
Marlins owner Jeffery Loria and manager Edwin Rodriguez called in the MDPD CSI crew after Ramirez continued to slump as the third hitter in the Marlins lineup. Rodriguez even went as far as moving Ramirez to second but to no avail.
“The MDPD has a notorious record of finding the suspects and we believe that justice will be served shortly.” Marlins general manager Mike Hill said. “We have fully cooperated with Lieutenant Caine and his CSIs and have had them interview each and every front office member and every worker with the Marlins.”
Until this case is solved, Rodriguez will have to rely on outfielders Logan Morrison, Mike Stanton, and first baseman Gaby Sanchez for all the power and batting average in his lineup.
“We’re doing pretty well now,” Rodriguez said of the 24-16 Marlins, “but we need Hanley to find out who murdered his bat; he needs some closure so he can to put this behind him.
“Once all of this is over, I’m sure Hanley will be back to his old self.” Rodriguez said.
