Yeah, my general rule of thumb is up to 21 in A is about the point where you don't question age (And then +1 year per level, so 22 at A+, 23 at AA). 22 at A (And then same +1) is where you then have to take it into consideration, but it's not really something to be held heavily against them because they're a college guy who they're taking it slow with (i.e. Gaby Sanchez's trek through the minors). 23 at A though is hard to take seriously.

I've liked Keys since his first year (Hard for me not to like a guy with more BB then K) and was very disappointed last year when he sucked so very happy he's doing well now. Obviously too early now to project much and he's playing way over his head at the moment, but I think he's a C+ OF prospect (aka bench bat, next pete/cousins) if he has a good year the entire way through.

Yelich looks pretty special. It will be interesting to see what he becomes.

Now he just needs to continue this for, oh, about 2 more months and maybe we can give him a look again.

Skipworth went 0/4 tonight and is hitting .132/.250/.211 this month. .188/.271/.357 overall with 43k. He's just the best.

His strikeout rate is somehow higher (38.3%) than last year (36.1%).
          --------------------
I'd still love to know why they had him skip Jupiter.

Because the Florida State League is extremely horrible for hitters (sans Yelich) and they thought he might fair better in the Southern League (which plays more evenly.) Their plan didn't work out.

Its just odd considering we send all our other hitting prospects to Jupiter.

He finished 2007 in Jupiter, 34g 148pa .200/.277/.331, and then spent all of 08 in AA.

It may have been because he already couldn't hit and had already repeated Low-A so they didn't want to hurt his confidence anymore by sending somewhere where he was almost guaranteed to fail?

I can see why they'd skip him there though. His one redeeming offensive quality is his"power" and Jupiter really represses that. His line would have been hilarious.

Matt Dominguez has 10 errors. Isn't that not what was suppose to happen?
