Maybe he needs some more time in the minors. He's been very disappointing.

He's 23 and the team isn't going anywhere, having some fucking patience.

How long until we can blame the front office and say everyone knew he was going to suck?

Heaney definitely doesn't have near the stuff he was purported to have

                    The Marlins were down 5-1.

                    It's 5-5 after Mr.Clutch just tied it.

We have seen this movie so many times in the last 14 days. I.don't know if I can bear to watch.

The organization is pushing so hard for McGehee to make the All-Star game. It's kinda cute.

                          That was pleasantly unexpected.

Heaney sent down after the game.

This is the ONLY thing I'm worried about. I remember reading how he survived mainly on his unbelievably good control, but it also said he had some strong off speed pitches that would catch hitters off balance quite a lot. In his MLB stint, he really hasn't shown that.

But as bobbob said, he's 23 years old and there's a lot of time and a lot of room to improve. Yes, it is definitely disappointing that he didn't come up and light the world on fire in the style Fernandez did last year, but Heaney's still a very good prospect who might just need more fine tuning than was expected.

I still have high hopes for Heaney and that he could be a possible #2/#3 starter long term (especially with Fernandez/Alvarez seemingly set in stone as the long term 1/2). It's just gonna take more time than anticipated. There actually exists great players who when they were prospects came up to the majors and didn't exactly light the world on fire upon first arrival. Heaney might just be one of those guys.
