I have to admit that I haven't checked on my team in months and really have been losing interest for a while. I don't really want my team anymore.

We're already down to 18, but if you two are positive about wanting out, I guess we can stage another contraction draft (unless anybody has potential new owners lined up?)... That is, unless almost everyone has lost interest, in which case, we had a good run?

I vote against a contraction draft. I say we have these options.

Fill up the team slots that remain.
Fill the slots with computer players.
End it.

Maybe start over but we still need to fill up.

Well, we were already short one owner with New York being a ghost ship for a while now. With mibs leaving that makes two and nobody has shown any interest in claiming NY as far as I'm aware. In other news, Mainge says he's only leaving temporarily due to time constraints, so we will get him back eventually.

Suggestions on how we fill the open slots are welcome. I may have a potential owner interested, but he won't even think about starting until the fall, and that still leaves at least one team.

Releasing those guys to FA wouldn't be a bad idea. Let's face it, FA has been a joke.

I'm done, was fun but lost interest during the long lay off.

I have been an advocate of bringing in actual OOTP guys for a while now but that idea has been shot down a few times because they want SoFla guys to play. Well it is clear that we can't fill a league for the long haul with SoFla people.

I say SoFla people have first crack at teams but to fill it out we bring in a few OOTP guys from other parts of the interwebz.

If nothing else it will bring in more traffic to the forum which is a good thing. Opinions?

I hate to see you and everyone go. I understand that lay offs cause this. All I can say is with Moss and myself, sims will be rolling out consistently. Not saying anything bad against the other commishs btw I know you guys had a ton of shit on your plates and were not able.

I would rather make a few guys from scratch than cut down the number of teams any further.

Would anyone be apposed to a few created players being dropped back into FA?

And with a bit more thinking, What if I take a few guys from FA that are already on the "who cares" part of there careers and make them more realistic of how they are currently?

Re worded as to not confuse. Lets say Bobby Abreu is on FA (Not sure if he is or not). And Abreu is straight 20's across the board. Nobody would think of adding him and he is CLEARLY better than that in RL now. I would bump him up to a fair and not unrealistic version of his current self in order to deepen the free agency without adding any crazy young/crazy good guys.

I could also add a few guys who are not in the league that might not be in the first year draft in our league.




Sorry for the long posts guys but I am just thinking out loud. If anyone likes/dislikes this please let us know and we will go with the consensus.
