At that price it's a blessing that he signed elsewhere. Hopefully they repackage the funds into Soler.
Does anyone get the sneaking suspicion that the offseason (to the bandwagoners) peaked a little early? Great PR for the beginning of the meetings and then losing out on four big signings by various reasons, including a Cuban defector.
I think it'll all wash over if that's the case by April 4th, but I wouldn't be shocked if that's the story for a couple weeks.
God would be expecting a first pitch breaking ball in the dirt because humans love to disappoint him.

Soler seems crazy to me too. Cubs are already offering $27 mil. I mean, that's more than Strasburg/Harper combined. If they want to reallocate the money, please send it to the draft.

I agree with Juanky. Succeeding early and failing late (on the two we were viewed as the "front-runner") creates an easy narrative for such a skeptical market.

With the new cba thats pretty much out of the question.
