With Urena coming up, it made me wonder - Does anyone know how many options to players have? And how does it work? I ask because it seems like we always send guys up and down to make starts here and there and then they're out of options and we dump them for nothing (like Brad Hand)

options don't work like that - options work like years. Doesn't matter how many times we demote and promote Urena in a single season, it's one option. Players have 3 option years once they're on the 40 man. So say Urena is on the 40 man for the first time, and we don't break camp with him and send him to AAA - that's an option. If we call him up 2 weeks later and then demote him again for a month, it's still just the same option.
