They bring the family out to home plate and tell them they have something special for them. They tell them to look at the big screen and there pops up their relative that's overseas. They try having the family talk to him and they are talking in spanish so they had a translator there to translate what they were saying and with the delay from the feed they kept on talking over each other which then lead to silence. The crowd had no idea what to really do and then you just see most of the family members crying and then every time the relative or family tried to talk they ended up doing it at the same time so they really didn't hear each other (or atleast the family at the park). I mean they really should have just done it privately.

They also had two different bands play before that and it just sounded like a bunch of noise. When the roof is closed you can't make out any specific sounds, it was terrible.

Their lineup is full of question marks.
          Again.

no. 1 in the NL in runs scored last year.

They didn't lose enough to make them go from No. 1 (by a pretty significant margin) to middle of the road, or whatever.

This isn't even the first time they did something like that. They did it on 790 the Ticket during one of the Samson segments last year when they had the mother call in to surprise her with her son and they spoke to each other on air. LeBatard felt so awkward when trying to let her know that her son was on the line and it was just so weird. I don't understand why they want to have that be public. Just make it a private moment for the family, you're still doing a good thing.

Did anyone at home catch the Brazilian Carnaval chicks escorting the starting lineup? That was awesome.

but I guess it goes well with the entire theme of this team

Who was the 1st base ump at the game today? I think it was Angel Hernandez or Laz Diaz i'm not sure but they were terrible.

Funny thing is Angel Hernandez was born and raised in Hialeah. Bastard.

Well I think the worst call actually went in our favor. Infante was called safe and I was 99.99% sure the ball beat him but a good half second.

I'd like to add to the awkward list, they had a race between innings with a stone crab, octopus, sea horse and shark.
