Suspending him is justified. You can't have your $16 million manager saying things that are going to alienate the two most powerful communities (Cuban and Venezuelans) boycotting your team. Cubans and Venezuelans are tied at the hip with the Castro/Chavez drama and they will support each other.

But the comments were misinterpreted.

I'm beyond pissed at how I've seen a lot of the media handle some of this. Some thinking he's being insincere about his true message being "lost in translation" or think because he's apologizing means that what he said is what he meant and this is just an attempt to put out this fire.

All I keep seeing is the "Ozzie says he loves Castro" quote or "Ozzie is pro Castro" when those things couldn't be any more wrong when you are looking at the context of it all, especially from a man who has broken English speaking skills.

yes. i don't care. everyone knows what he meant. he didn't mean he supports his policies, he was saying that he's been opposed heavily for 60 years and he's still alive.
