Florida Marlins starter Javier Vázquez has been voted the National League Pitcher of the Month for September.

In five September starts, Vázquez was a perfect 5-0, leading the National League in wins while compiling the lowest ERA (0.71) among qualifying starters. Vázquez ranked second among National Leaguers in innings pitched (38.0) and fourth in strikeouts (36) while walking just three.

Ozzie Guillen's son, Ozney, went to Monsignor Pace High School.

Ozzie attended a lot of games and wasn't really the typical "I'm famous so I'm not going to talk to you" type of guy.

The way he talks to the media is the way he is in real-life.

He's had many conversations with my dad and brother in the past.

My dad is a big-time Yankees fan. He's in the category of "Latino's think they know everything about baseball and they're very passionate" when Ozzie mentioned that in the media the other day (not that he was thinking about my dad, just saying he falls into that category).

Anyway, when my dad brought up how Javy never panned out in NY, Ozzie mentioned some things about him being a pussy, etc.
