Been in Jax for awhile and been mentioning him as our future lefty in the pen

Chris Paddock is back for SD and looked great in first start

Also, next time we need a bullpen arm id like to see Ben Meyer get the call. he doesnt have a long term future as a starter and has proven to be a dominant bullpen arm when he's come out of the bullpen.

Aaron Knapp promoted to Jupiter according to Frisaro. He's old to be a prospect, but pretty impressive offseason improvement from last year to this year. 19/16 bb/k ratio to start the year after a 59/142 bb/k ratio in greensboro last year.

Thomas Jones got the call up to GBoro to replace him

One thing I don't like about our minor league OF is 8 guys are carbon copies of each other. 4th OF types who bat lefty with no power

Why rush him? He will destroy the ball in GBoro

Don't forget he spent 2 years out of baseball so while he is 23 his body isn't beat up and still learning

its not rushing him. he clearly has nothing left to develop in greensboro. his body can still be learning in jupiter against advanced competition.

thomas jones is another example of those toolsy big OF's we draft early every year who seemingly never pan out.

Nice start for Jones. Hit a HR already

Alonso is still destroying the ball and Lillie looks solid again(I was wrong on him-thought be 1 inning closer type)

Alonso is now 11-19 in greensboro. clearly better than the competition and is already 23. should be in jupiter. no reason not to.

haha and of course jones hits a hr within hours of me saying that. would be nice if he can become something but i wont hold my breath.

also im gonna assume Riddle will be back with the big club starting friday in Cincy.

Jones just needs AB's he is 20 all year(21 in Jupiter is still solid). He is like Stone Garrett-might take few years but more AB's the better. Under Jeff they liked drafting 3 sport HS guys hoping to get the next Stanton instead of baseball players. Changed LY when took Miller/Dunand/Mahan and started going after just baseball player types

Conley has pitched much better the last few times. Id really like to see if he can become a solid lefty bullpen weapon given his history as a reliver in college.

Also, neidert with another really solid outing. He's had a really nice start to the year.
