Del Pozo uses a good fastball-curveball combination to attack hitters. His fastball sits in the low 90s with some late movement that helps him create groundball outs. His biting curveball gives him a second solid secondary offering, and he occasionally will show a changeup, though it's not as advanced as his other two pitches.
Del Pozo's arsenal is well suited to a role in relief, and he earns praise for his competitiveness on the mound. He significantly cut his walk rate in 2014, and if he can repeat that performance as he advances to higher levels, he'll give the Marlins another viable relief option in time.
