Marlins Sign Top Pick Chad James

According to Baseball America, the Marlins have signed first round pick Chad James to a $1.7 million signing bonus. A left-hander who the Marlins selected out Yukon, (Okla.) High School, James was set to attend Oklahoma State had he not reached an agreement before the MOnday midnight deadline.

Like I said in the other thread, not really high on a guy who projects, at best with three average pitches with shaky command, even if he is lefty. I'm less thrilled we payed slightly over slot for him.

Now, time for him to go out and prove me wrong.
