Thoughts:
Smolinksi's last 10 games
.344/.512/.625/1.137 (11 BB / 5 SO / 2 HR)
Jensen is leading the FSL in OPS (1.134) and HR (9)
Yelich up to an .800 OPS on the season (.871 last 10)
Canha is hitting a ton (leading the SALLY in avg) and almost never striking out (5 SO in 67 PA), but not showing much power at all (2 HR and 4 2B)
Ozuna is slumping HARD: .386 OPS in last 10 games with 5 H (1 HR) and 14 SO
Realmuto has hit in 7 of last 8 games. Also stealing bases and catching baserunners at very high rates.
Olmos starting to show up. Last 4 starts: 22.1 IP, 18 H (2 HR), 5 ER (7 R), 9 BB, 22 SO
I really like Realmuto. I think he's the real catcher of the future.

Also.
Jay Buente is starting now in NOLA, and he's absolutely shredding.
3 GS, 18 IP, 10 H (0 HR), 2 ER, 2 BB, 17 SO (and tons of groundballs). On the year he's given up 4 R on 15 H and 6 BB while striking out 29 in 26.2 IP. Not sure if it means much, but he's 27 and it's an impressive and unexpected run.

Yes. Yas could be up in Carolina in August by the latest. Haven't met him yet but he's put up great numbers and has a 25/27 BB/K ratio.
Yonder is just stuck in Louisville without a position. He is brutal in left but that's the only way for him to make it in Cincy. He will most certainly be trade bait.
Those numbers will be even better once he meets you

Yup. I live close to their Double-A team (formally the Marlins Double-A team)
I've always been around that team (in the clubhouse, dugout, hanging with the players, ect) but now I'm an "intern" for the manager, David Bell. I'm doing scouting stuff for him so I'm kinda an advance scout for him.

Ehh not quite. It's not really an advance scout, but kinda a form of it. I go in and plug in the split stats of the team they are about to play into an Excel file and make their lineup (the the best of my ability) and their rotation and their pitcher's splits.
So it's kinda an advance scout, but not really.

Yes. that's it!
Thank you. The program hasn't worked flawlessly yet though. It's an excel file that has the Mudcats lineup, the umpires' lineup card, the opposing team's roster. Dugout cards and such. Once you put in the rosters, it fills it out for the rest of the lineup cards. I'll try and take a picture of it and post it to see what I'm talking about.

If so, I am. He has a PC. However, I used another computer (PC) to send it to him again and it worked way better, but still was acting up.
CrimsonCane
05-12-2011, 01:36 PM
Nevermind. Macros are little little programs that you can write within your Excel spreadsheet to do a lot more powerful things than the normal formulas. If you're on a Mac and using Office 2007 (which I assume because you said the original file was .xlsx), you can't be using those. Macros are only in the Windows version of Excel 2007.
Miamarlin21
05-12-2011, 01:39 PM
ohh. I'm not too smart on computers. Anyway, here is a pic of what i'm doing. Might have to zoom in on it to see it. This isn't the full thing, it's full of a bunch of tabs that have the other things (lineups, ump card, dugout card, ect)

Miamarlin21
05-12-2011, 01:42 PM

CrimsonCane
05-12-2011, 01:43 PM
Is it pulling information from other spreadsheets that you have also made? You mentioned that it updates.
Miamarlin21
05-12-2011, 01:48 PM
Ohhh. So now they are playing Birmingham. I have a file for that. Next they play Mobile. So I pull up the Birmgham file and then delete all that and put Mobile's stats in and save as so I'll still have both.
But once I put in one set of info (the line up for example) it will fill it out throughout the entire spreadsheet wherever there is a lineup.
CrimsonCane
05-12-2011, 02:36 PM
What values is he getting when he pulls it up? Does it just load slowly or does the spreadsheet say something like "#VALUE"?

I think it uploads slowly but I'm not sure what else is going wrong for him, he didn't elaborate.
