Probably from the whiplash effect of watching so many of his pitches getting smoked.

So Sanches is probably our new long reliever.

If we do choose to skip the next 5th starter spot (we have an offday on Monday) and go with Nolasco on Friday on full rest, the next 5th starter spot would be Tuesday, August 11th at home against the Astros. Whoever makes that start would have to make a second start on the homestand (16th against the Rockies).
--------------------
In fact, days we have to use the 5th starter if we maximize the rotation using offdays and do not start anyone on short rest:

8/11
8/16
8/22
9/1
9/6
9/12
9/17
9/22 (doubleheader)
9/29

September 29th is a prime candidate for sending someone out on short rest I think. We have bad luck with two of those days because we have offdays the day after a 5th starter appearance that forces us to not skip them the next time because Nolasco/Johnson would be on 3 days rest.

Penn is slotted to start on the 11th, he proby the frontrunner, unless the marlins acquire someone

Penn has been horrible in the minors.

Penn has been horrible in the minors.

but who out there?
Anibal 1st rehab start is tuesday
Tucker only has 23.2 inn all year
Miller is injured
West is a option, and could start on 4 days rest
Clay Hensley is starting today, and could start on 6 days rest

Why do our pitchers always seem to suffer from the most ridiculous injuries?

Clay Hensley is likely the best option. He's basically somebody you can count on to go 5-6 ip with a 5 era, which at this point is a good case scenerio for us out of the 5th starter spot lol
