From here on out

emilio: -9 offense, -2.5 defense, +1.5 BR
Cantu: +0 defense
=-10 runs

Nick Johnson: +11.5 offense, +1.5 defense, -1 BR
cantu: -3.5 defense
=+8.5 rims

net gain=18.5 runs
net wins=1.85
--------------------
also to me just enforces how much I wish we made a trade a month ago

He's essentially 1 win a month over bonifacio

another thing to note:
Johnson averages 4.31 pitches/pa in 2009
and Boner averages 3.81 pitches /pa in 2009

so we talking about a half of pitch difference between NJ and Boner. That different should have a trickle down effect, as guys behind him see more pitches and are given a better chance to hit

Elias Ranking latest projection came out:
http://www.scribd.com/doc/18014543/Rankings-080109

Nick Johnson right now isnt a Type B, but he is close
His current score is: 55
and Ryan Garko, the lowest Type B player is at 56.43

so if he has a good Aug and Sept, he can possibly creep back into Type B, and if we offer arb, we can basically replace Thompson

He came closer since last ranking: about 7 points away from Type B, so that some real improvement

I'd have to think his OBP plays a big part in this.
